It also operates a 480,000 tonnes per year dehydrogenation unit to convert propane to propylene. In Zwijndrecht, Borealis produces up to 65,000 tonnes per year of compounds for low density polyethylene. Borouge, Borealis’ jointventure with the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC), operates the largest petrochemical complex in the world.
